Instrumentation powerhouse Agilent Applied sciences is becoming a member of forces with some of the outstanding firms in agriculture to bankroll a public-private hemp analysis effort aimed toward rising hemp profitability.

Members of the brand new Hemp Analysis Consortium will donate $5 million for agronomic hemp analysis at Cornell College, North Carolina State College and the College of Kentucky, the consortium members introduced Tuesday.

One other consortium contributor is U.S. Sugar, generally referred to as Large Sugar, a Florida-based firm that’s the nation’s largest producer of sugar cane by quantity.
