Many raw foodies know that eating too many nuts or seeds can be difficult with some people’s digestion, and they often therefore “soak” these items for 4-12 hours prior to  eating, to deactivate the enzyme inhibitors. Hemp seeds do not need to be soaked  in any way to be completely edible and digestible.

Hemp Seed Milk This is a very easy way to get a good source of the Omega-6 & Omega-3 Essential Fatty Acids

Makes: 6-7 cups Prep Time: 2 min

1 cup Hemp Seed Hearts

5-6 cups Water

Combine the water and the Hemp Seed Hearts in a blender. You can create the desired thickness by using more or less water (from coffee creamier consistency to skim). Blend on high for 2 -3 minutes, or until creamy and smooth. To sweeten add: agave, stevia, banana, dates, figs, raisins, maple syrup, honey or your favorite fruit. Blend again until smooth. You can enjoy it thick or strain it through cheese cloth.

Hemp Seed Hearts Milk is perfect alone or with your breakfast cereal. It will keep for 3 days in the refrigerator in a sealed container. Shake well before use.

  1. Hey Teri,
I have recently started using my computer and phone to get information and to correspond to people about subjects that i am interested in. Your writings and videos have allowed me to try to become more involved and venture out a little. Your sharing of other peoples work has opened up a different way to view the current news mainly about hemp and health. I just wanted to take this time to share and let you know that you are making an impact. Joni Lane,Elaina Newton and Hemp Helps are among the circles that I have been getting and enjoying information from.
    Just wanted to thank you,
    Robert
